for the early morning risers

Mornings are sacred. I believe how you start your day is powerful enough to influence how your day goes, so it's best to start off on a good note. If your day starts a little earlier than planned, you may be encouraged to go back to sleep until it’s time to get ready - and I don’t blame you, sleep is totally essential. However, if you find falling back asleep to not be an option, here’s a list of alternatives for what to do in very early mornings/to start your day:

Read a book:

When you start a day with a book rather than a device, it makes such a difference in your day, I’ve done this multiple times and I’ll tell you, it works.

Tea/Coffee:

For Tea - preferably with a hint of caffeine so you don’t fall back asleep.

Go for a walk.

I love this option so much. Walking does so much for you physically and mentally, I consider it a mood riser.

Go for a run.

So runners don’t feel left out.

Listen to something

Check out this album a friend recently recommended.

Watch something

Morning’s are especially sacred, so maybe not something that will haunt you for the rest of the day or week.

Cook:

My previous jet lag had me cooking at 2 in the morning, I can’t even explain it. You could spend early mornings cooking for a later meal.

Finish up what you started the day before.

Maybe it was something creative like an artwork or something. Even if not, getting work stuff done always helps.

Meditate.

Another personal favorite. Socrates famously said “an unexamined life is not worth living”; so maybe take sometime to reflect once in a while.

Journal/Plan

Journal on the past or present, and/or plan for the future.

Of course I added this ;)

Just get ready!

Maybe waking up earlier than planned is something necessary if you usually take forever to get ready.

Until the next one
