maybe staying indoors isn’t the answer….

Here me out-

What are we doing at home? sleeping, cooking, chores… resting. Honestly, I can even make a case for this when you’re trying to have self care time and in winter with the piercing cold and ruthless frost, but not even the entire duration of winter. Downtime or indoor self-care is very much essential as it’s an opportunity to rejuvenate but first, we have to have something we’re rejuvenating from.

I think it’s easy to get overwhelmed with the world inside than the one outside. By that I mean getting too caught up with everything that immediately encircles us like work/school etc. and everything within us such as our thoughts. For this reason, allowing ourselves to see and feel what’s outside our familiar four walls is extremely important. I feel like each time we have new contact with something different, something in us is born or brought back to life. While we surely learn about ourselves in our comfort spaces, we learn just as much or maybe even more when out of those spaces.

Lastly, remember there’s much to see in even an afternoon, but you have to allow yourself to do so. I think sometimes all that’s needed is a literal breath of fresh air, getting out of your head, and getting outside. Maybe staying indoors isn’t the answer to feeling better.

One more thing—

stay tuned for more summer updates ;)

Until the next one
