Mood Board: Brown and Blue

My sister and I finally climbed that one mountain we hadn't yet explored. The winds bet against us- *me, but the views made it all worth it! The landscape was gorgeous, that I decided to make a mood board about Brown and Blue - the colors that defined it, but from my sister, Chinazo’s perspective:

“ I felt peace walking down the trail because I wasn’t disturbed. I was enjoying nature and its beautiful scenes and getting my muscles working. This isn’t the first mountain I’ve climbed; my first was table mountain in South Africa - took me two hours to get up that mountain, this one took me about five minutes. This hike was different as it was more of something I did to relax - I did it for me, to feel peace, whereas I felt like I had to climb up the Table mountain - it was more of an achievement. When I got to the top, I thought it was all so beautiful - I just marveled at earth’s beauty and God’s creation. (The views) just remind you that California is a desert, it’s dry and even as lively and animated as our city and state is, there’s still another side of it, there’s the dryness, the blandness and the commonness in it. It just reminds you that even though there are stars and beauty here, there are still regular people who just want to live normally, chill, and enjoy the vibes…”

“…It was extremely windy and it would’ve been dangerous to others, not to me - you can perceive it as dangerous but I perceive it as adventurous . Danger tarnishes the meaning behind fun. That’s the first time I was walking up the mountain in such weather conditions and because it’s the first time, I guess you can compare it to the first time you try a food that you love so much - you have that first bite and it’s like ‘oh my dayss.’ It’s doing something new, an adventure, doing something for the first time; you can’t do the same thing everyday or your life will be very mundane. I was in my element on this hike - when i’m with nature, I’m in my element - it brings a pure and natural joy, peace and tranquility that you can’t really experience anywhere else. Brown is simplicity, reliability. Simplicity is peace. I like how blue symbolizes the sky because it reminds you that there is something above and that you’re just in that Pale Blue Dot. If you observe how large the sky is, it reminds you of how little you are and how humble you should be. "
