...as they become memories

A summer journal

All photos by me.

enjoy!

hard to find the words to describe the indescribable…

as most of you probably know,

my summer was spent in the woods,

in a surreal setting in Pennsylvania

cultivating a fresh work and life experience,

meeting people I’m ever grateful I met.

“Tiny dots in the hollow void!”

This picture barely captures a fraction of the magnificence of the sky that dared to be so bare, even less of the humility and soul-stirring that occurs when you first lay eyes on it. But there it is, I’m ever grateful to have it immortalized on this page. It is truly an honor to be under the stars.

— spot the “Big Dipper” or Ursa Major constellation in this!

For effect, increase your brightness to the highest, or dim it to the lowest - try both!

I took as many people to the “stargazing field”, letting them escape with every shooting star and mesmerized by the stars. Of course, the purpose of this was to share the beauty exuded by these dots and to make one forget their troubles even if for a moment. It worked.

Jupiter sits still in the sky as a bold dot at the bottom.

still need to try the tie dye process, but I gladly witnessed how it works + flower bag by Zara

Real cows, faux cow; same magic. Almost everything seen and experienced will easily present the “middle of nowhere” vibe. A lot was somewhat foreign to me in the sense that it was almost cinematic. It was a very quiet area, with mostly entirely green settings featuring some sort of animal or insects. Yeah, definitely the woods.

“Look up!!”

Emphasis on the aforementioned ‘surreal’ and ‘cinematic’ vibe. I present to you a sun halo. There is most certainly a perpetual fascination with the heavens. If you look up a little more, I’m sure you’ll find yourself lost in that state as well. You guys already know of my love for space and the universe, what I didn't tell you is that I read and I’m currently reading Carl Sagan - legendary astrophysicist. Reading his books help amplify the magnificence of everything the sky already holds - it drags you into a whole new perspective and makes you want to look up!

Okay, I really want to remember what this is called, whatever it is, no, it is not a vanilla cupcake - It’s the squishable faux version. I needed to have the illusion on here!!
