Maintaining your sanity and positivity while contained
They say we shouldn’t say we’re ‘stuck at home’ because we’re staying home to save lives — your life, the life of doctors, your family’s etc. Point is, it can be very hard and it can get lonely.
So how do you do it?
Because you’re doing a good job! Even if you’re doing what you consider ‘nothing’ you’re breathing and trying to be sane in this unprecedented time that nobody was prepared for. So GOOD JOB!!
This quarantine can be a tad emotional and boring beyond words especially with so much work, so I gathered some research on how to actually want to stay home:
Give yourself a virtual museum tour on Google arts and culture especially if you love art.
Invest in piece puzzles and board games.
Play games you stopped playing years ago - we recently played ‘Just Dance’ again and it was honestly one of the most incredible experiences I've had this year!
Listen to the songs on the song list on the slideshow above!
Give yourself a break from today’s songs and try a throwback playlist:
Shop somewhere you haven’t before - I suggest online vintage stores like The RealReal to promote sustainability and also to get something rare! 100% recommend!
If you’re into Ancient Greece or want to experience and learn about it, you can here.
Do yoga, or listen to music that makes you feel like you’re doing yoga. (to meditate or work)
TikTok or make up random challenges to send to your siblings or close friends.
PAINT! (it’s extremely therapeutic)
Read Books (I recommend the ones on the slide above) or Magazines like Vogue.
LIMIT THE NEWS YOU READ/WATCH/LISTEN TO BECAUSE SOME OF THE THINGS WE SEE MAKE THE WORLD SEEM LIKE ONLY BAD THINGS HAPPEN IN IT! KNOW YOUR LIMIT, KNOW WHEN TO STOP!
